Day 1 Nutrition for Newborn Calves

CL-Cow Replacer® contains Colostrum, Probiotics, Electrolytes, Vitamins A, D³, E that is  a complete nutritional feeding for newborns. An absolute must for cold, weak, or lethargic newborn calves that do not want to nurse.  Suitable for orphaned calves or calves staying on the cow that may not have received adequate colostrum, or those who were born during stressful conditions (cold, rain, ice, wind).

Colostrum provides important nutrients that are critical to the immune system and overall health of newborn calves.  Administer CL-Cow Replacer with a feeding bottle, nipple pail or esophageal feeder.

Directions

For Calves left on their mother:  Mix 250 grams of CL-Cow Replacer with 1 quart (32 oz) or 1 liter (33.8 oz) of warm water (110°F) and feed before calf is 6 hours old. (When calf remains on cow)

For Orphan Calves:  Mix two, 250 gram packages (500 grams total) of CL-Cow Replacer with 2 quarts (64 oz) of warm water (110°F) and feed as soon  as possible after birth. (For Orphan Calves only)

*The amount of water may be adjusted to meet calf’s needs.
