Keratex Hoof Hardener Formula is a patented product that includes a unique flexibility agent as well as a hardening agent to promote stronger, less sensitive hooves and soles.  Weak hooves need protection from becoming brittle and cracked.  Weak hooves often have soft, sensitive, thin soles.  Keratex helps to make the hooves harder, while maintaining flexibility.  This helps to reduce hoof damage from repeated shoe loss, and may help horses that are transitioning to being barefoot.

Keratex Hoof Hardener will strengthen and protect shod and unshod hooves, to restore soundness for horses with sensitive soles, and helps to prevent existing cracks from laddering up or across the hooves.

Keratex works by cross-linking the keratins and proteins within the internal structures of the hooves, making hooves stronger from the inside out. Because it absorbs into the hooves, it will not ‘come off’ in the field, but will continue to work within the hoof whatever the weather or field conditions.
